An interesting premise, but ultimately pretty bland. The science wasn't ever delved into at any great length, instead the narrator and main character seemed to think everyone--including the reader--too stupid to understand. This led me to feel the author didn't put much thought into it and couldn't explain it, so didn't.
Too many shortcuts were taken to provide a gripping narrative. The main character was underdeveloped and bland. The killer wasn't even very scary.
I spent most of the book waiting to see the writing described in the majority of the reviews. It never showed up. Thankfully a short read, so not too much of my weekend was wasted.
