Dragon Mage
by M.L. Spencer
This is the longest book I’ve ever read (currently), but it did NOT feel long. It was so incredibly easy for me to finish. From the moment I started the book to the last page, I was riveted. The world building was immediate and continuous, never too boring to lose me. I want to write about this for YEARS but all I can say is WOW.
Aram was such an intriguing character to me. His magic in this world was unlike anything I’ve read about, and his personality (ASD) was so… personal to me. His growth from a scared little boy to a strong and assured boy is probably my favorite example of character development.
And Markus? Oh I just adored him. His almost immediate devotion to Aram was so beautiful. Their friendship was two sides of the same coin, two pieces of a two piece puzzle…essentially, they were so complimentary that I kind of hated it when they were apart.
The story is so rich and deep, and I am excited to read more of ML Spencer. Her writing is so good and unique. I had a heavy book hangover after reading DRAGON MAGE, and I still think about this story all these months later.
I ordered a very special edition, and when I get that edition, it WILL be my most prized possession.
