A Little Bit Wicked by Melissa Foster

5.0

Melissa Foster's talent to write sweet romance with an edge is vast. A Little Bit Wicked is no different. However, this was my first foray into the Whiskeys or Wicked MC club genre. I have read several of her Bayside novels, and the inter-connectedness of all her series is engaging. Not to mention that it makes me want to read all the stories. We have interacted with Justin and Chloe in previous works, and this is their time to shine.

Justin is bound and determined he is going to get Chloe. He just has to convince her. She's balking. Her childhood with a disengaged mother and living with her mother's choices have put Chloe on a path she feels she needs. Justin's childhood with not so good parents left him as the adopted son of the Wickeds. Both have similar backgrounds; they are trying to outgrow and stop a cycle of dysfunction.

It takes some doing, but Chloe wakes up to the beauty of Justin and a relationship with him. When they discover that though appearances may peg them at opposite ends of the spectrum, they actually are very similar individuals. Not only are their backgrounds similar, but they also have the same desires and dreams. This story unfolds from there very pleasantly as we watch their relationship grow. I do have to say Justin is one of the most outwardly romantic heroes I have read in a long time. His birthday surprise for Chloe was epic. You should read the book just for the birthday scene. And let's not forget the sand. No, really, you need to read this book for the romantic gestures from this guy.

I am glad to get the feeling this is the first in several books about Justin's family. They seem to be an exciting and engaging lot, and I'm sure their stories of finding their happily ever afters will be just as enjoyable as Justin and Chloe's.
