Short but sweet. Let me explain.

We have a very complicated story here. Danielle has killed multiple people, earning the ire of Batman, flees to Wonder Woman and seeks protection using an ancient rite (Hiketeia). Wonder Woman now has to protect Danielle, lest the furies tear her (Diana) to shreds. So... fight Batman, her close friend, or earn the wrath of the gods to protect a guilty women? Or is the girl really guilty? It is as cool as the premise sounds. What's more, we also need no introductions. That's right. If you have a basic idea of who Wonder Woman and Batman are, then congratulations. No prerequisite reading for the cross-over! Praise Hera!

I like how you really don't know how Wonder Woman is going to get out of this situation AND keep Danielle safe. I love it when writers pose impossible moral questions for our heroes. Obviously it can only end one way, but it's still fun seeing the characters figure out ways around that. It was also fun seeing Batman fight Wonder Woman, although it could have been a little less one-sided (he is Batman after all). The furies were also great villains. It isn't her charming personality so much as they are a living embodiment of a force of nature. They also totally rocked those horror vibes. You'll never look at homeless women the same way again!

My only complaint here is how short this story was. I wanted to see more of Danielle's backstory, showcasing more gray in her. Why is Batman so determined in hunting her? How violent and premeditated were her killings? Can we get detective Batman/build up to him coming after her? Can we have more scenes of Wonder Woman and Danielle bonding? More closure after the climax instead of a sudden and rushed ending? Can we get just one scene showing how this effected Wonder Woman and Batman's relationship? Please? I'll pay more for it...

Regardless, this was a great and intriguing story. I just want more!
