The Darkest Bloom
by P.M. Freestone
The question is: WHY IS THIS BOOK SO UNDERRATED ????? when i started to reading it i wasn’t expecting for something that good and THAT amazing. the author described the universe of the book so perfectly like sometimes it reminded me of avatar for all the fantastic part. she literally created a whole universe and world with a lot of details comparing to a lot of other dystopian books; like here, we could literally write a dictionary with all the words that described the world of Shadowscent. I just loved how perfectly she transcribed her thoughts and imagination in the book. Comparing to other ones, characters aren’t the most developed BUT the universe where the book takes place is.
I loved the relationship between the main characters like it wasn’t the point of the story but still, they were incredibly cute and healthy for each other. Everything was simple and « soft » ahhh i just loved them. Ash is one of the cutest and most precious character i ever read about, he’s caring, good, interesting and interested by people, curious AND OMG i just loved him. Rakel is also a really good character, sometimes (almost all the time actually) i don’t like the female main character because they are wrote as « perfect » but here as all human being she has her defaults, fears, doubts but she’s also very brave, full of dreams and hope and idk she’s very adorable too, i loved her!!
Happily i have the 2nd tome just right here by my side so i don’t have to wait too much before reading it
