This book was so heartbreakingly beautiful. The intense prejudice that was faced in the 1900’s is so devastating to read about but so important. I often found with this book that if there was a happy moment, it would be short lived as heavy burdens and grief quickly came to fruition. It’s one of those reads where you’re in utter heartbreak but need to keep reading
