The second book from Lucy Harper is romantic as hell, funny and will keep you hooked till the end.

I expected that this time we would see Angela and Carter fighting for their love because they were already mentioned a little bit in the first book. The small-town romance is in this case moved to an even smaller town, well, a small island which is as adorable as the puffins mentioned in the book.

I wasn't a big fan of Angela at first, but in this book, when we finally get her POV I feel like I understand her much more. I totally get the long days spent in the hospital and the pressure when you can't just miss the work because there is no one to cover for you or you have to help everyone and do your best 24/7 (yes I know it is a fictional character :D) and also her fear to be let down by a man again and again. I think all of us were at her place for some time in our lives.

Carter was much nicer than I expected and eventually, I started to like him. He was so careful about Ange and I hoped she would forgive him and they would be together forever.

I expected everything (yes I mean hot stuff) to happen much earlier, but Lucy surprised me and kept the tension going and going and I was hooked and flipping through the pages like a crazy person until the end. This was something that I enjoyed AND I am sorry but I had to mention this:

"As he starts to pull his final layer up, I see the trail of hair gracing his taut lower abs and trailing into his pants."

I was giggling and screaming internally from joy, because who doesn't love THAT spot on a male body (is the author reading my mind?).

I love this book and I am sure many of you will love it too. I can't wait to buy a paperback version of both Lucy's books so I can highlight my favourite parts and I can't wait for the next book to come.
