The end of a journey! I absolutely adored this series from beginning to end. Everything that happened between Seregil & Alec was a joy to experience. Their friendship, the love & passion that developed between them, and all the adventures they jumped into. They fought necromancers, demons & ghosts. They were poisoned, beaten, and killed. They thwarted a dark god of death, stopped a political coup, aided the end of war & even managed to undo the start of a plague! So much happened in this series more than I can fit into this review, it was exhilarating & wild but had its tragic moments too.

This last book in the series gave me a taste of the future while settling the past. I wanted it to be longer and go on for hours. My only critique is that it was over too soon and I want nothing more than a secret 8th book to pop up magically in the near future.

The only thing I can really say is Luck in the shadows… and in the light.
