I really wanted to like this book because I thought the premise was interesting and the writing style was good but it was just!!! Too long!!! There were so many points that could've led to the same ending that it seemed unnecessary to drag it that long.

More than that though, I HATED the reveal about Dr. Tooms. I could have bought and accepted that he wasn't the killer/was actually helping young girls get abortions but I cannot deal with the him just staying in prison thing. Sure he wanted to protect Callie's privacy but was it really better to let her RAPIST FATHER and a LITERAL SERIAL KILLER continue to roam free instead???? I cannot imagine that saving one (dead) girl's image and privacy could possibly be more important than helping the police catch these two terrible men. This really ruined so much for me.
