Incredible!!!

Words cannot express how eeking excited I am to be back in this world. I missed it like a physical pain, I flove it like nothing else, and I would transport the whole of my life into it if I could. You may be wondering at this point just who appears in this book, and my answer is I’m not saying because a) you NEED to read this and b) this book is all about the ever amazing Spencer aka Dead Boy and his enticing vampire, Takoma.

“Spencer’s blood wasn’t something he should ever crave, but he’d want the mage anyway, this mortal who danced with the spirits of the dead and looked at Takoma like he wasn’t the monster society painted him as.”

To me, that is the very heart of what’s between these two; well, that, and some inferno levels of chemistry, phew my reader is still on fire. Really though, Spencer sees the world like no one else and it makes him special. So special that Takoma—who let’s face it is frankly terrifying but like Spencer, I can’t get enough—recognizes the true gift Spencer is and wants him with a possessive bent that made my evil-leaning heart sing with joy.

“He was addicting, all fragile human flesh and a spine of steel that Takoma had borne witness to and coveted back in Manhattan. That their paths had crossed again for Takoma to have him? He was never letting the mage go again.”

Unlike some vampires we remember *cough Lucien* with Takoma we can see a gentler?, erm, softer?, erm less vampy side to him. Keeping it real though, touch what’s his and he will tear you to pieces faster than Wade can devour snacks. And I love it! I love the way these two connect, the way they protect one another—be prepared to hold some anxious breaths—and the way they won’t back down, no matter what they must face. I went into excited for a new adventure and left addicted to two more characters in this incredible, fantastic world. I am so enamored with their story I may just immediately reread it again and then go reread Soulbound for the nth time because it’s forever my happy place and state of mind.
