OH MY GOD! This book was amazing!! I genuinely think that this series is going to be one of my new obsessions. It was an amazing introduction to the world, and the characters were just 😍😍. I love Elias and Laia so much I really don't like Helene right now but I've heard I'll grow to like her so I cannot wait for that. I also love the smattering of Urdu words in the books it was really nice to see that and to see so many non white characters with non white names was just amazing. Sabaa Tahir created such an amazing world with amazing stories and villains that actually scare me which usually isn't the case. I did at some points think that Elias was a little sexist? But we move on...

I just can't wait for Elaia to get togetherrrr
