KaiMiller truly surpassed any expectation I had of what this book was going to look like. Sometimes I struggle with the forbidden romances in the sense that the angst is too much but I felt like their back and forth angst and banter was so good that I didn’t even care about the pain I was feeling because their chemistry was off the charts.
My favorite part of single parent/guardian books is the relationship that the love interest creates with the kid, Miller and Max’s relationship is one of the best I have read. The way that she loved and protected that child was so pure that it was giving me actual heart pain to know that she was leaving them at the end of the summer. They fit so well into each others lives that it was crazy to think of a time where they weren’t a little family. Their chemistry was amazing and I loved any and all interactions that those two had. Their banter was so fun on top of the joy from watching them fall in love that I just felt so happy getting back into this universe. It felt like such a warm hug to read about all these characters agin it was so fun. This is officially my favorite of the series however I am excited to see where this series goes because I am obsessed with Isaiah and Rio so their books have fun favorite potential for me lol
