The Lying Game by Ruth Ware
5.0
This book is from the New York Times bestselling author of In a Dark, Dark Wood and The Woman in Cabin 10 comes a chilling novel of friendship, secrets, and dangerous games teenaged girls play.
On a June morning, a woman is walking her dog around the Reach. Before she can stop him, the dog goes into the water to get something that appears to be a stick but turns out to be something much worse. The next morning there are three women around London (Fatima, Thea, and Isa) receive the text with only, “I need you” from Kate.
The four girls were best friends at Salten which is a boarding school for young girls. Isa meets Kate and Thea on her way to school when she asks what train she needs to be on. They meet Fatima on the train. Here is where Kate and Thea tell the others about The Lying Game. Each girl is different in their own way. The four become inseparable and were notorious for playing the Lying Game. Telling lies at every turn to both fellow boarders and faculty.
But their little game had consequences, and as the four converge in present day Salten. They realize that their shared past was not as buried as they had once thought.
This book has a pretty little liar feel and was a good audiobook to listen too. I would recommend this book to anyone. Also, this author is one of the beat out there. I love anything that she puts out and will listen to anything. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
