Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller

This one’s a little peculiar because it could be argued that nothing really happens in this book. But, that’s because it was very character-driven. There’s a lot that’s left to be read between the lines. Frances has many of the typical gothic main characters traits of being quiet, submissive, and curious. I thought the atmosphere was well created and the tension between characters led the story.
