I love Ward! What a refreshing kind of male POV character. I've been shying away from books with a male protagonist for a while tbh, but Ward was a delight to read. I now understand why readers are always asking Patty at book signings if she'll ever write more fantasy like these books. She says the urban fantasy brings in more money, which makes sense. And I love the Mercy books, so I'm not really complaining. But it's nice to know I love Patty's fantasy as well as the urban fantasy. She's such a great writer.
