This book, my God. Saying that I enjoyed it would be an understatement. I can’t even explain my feelings right now. If you like historical romance and RH, you need to read this book.

After her mother’s death, Rosalie is invited by the Dowager Duchess of Norland to Alcott Hall. You could say that her arrival shook things up in a house already full of guests, as the Duke is expected to find a wife. While trying to understand why she was invited to Alcott Hall, Rosalie meets the very hot Burke, James (the Duke’s brother) and Tom Renley, a lieutenant also looking for a wife.

While it is a slow burn, this story was filled with the most sexual tension and chemistry I have ever read. I had goosebumps in every scene with the gentlemen, especially Burke. I have to admit that I don’t usually like to choose between the MMCs but Burke is just the perfect man. Slow Burn, but let me tell you when you get to the burn part, it is good good. I was not expecting that chapter 51. That storage room scene was so hot.

Rosalie is one hell of a FMC: headstrong, opinionated and not afraid to speak her mind. She went through difficult times and has learned to set boundaries. You cross them, your mistake. And while each of the gentlemen is going through a difficult situation, they can always count on Rosalie to be there.

Definitely a 5 star book and one of my top reads of 2022 !
