Ok honestly after reading through this series for the first time I'm quite underwhelmed. I loved the movies so I was excited to hear the rest of the stories, but it turns out the rest of the stories aren't that good.
I wasn't a fan of the blatant christian allegory in this book and the last couple; it really took me out of the story. Although I am not religious, I don't mind religious themes when they are done well, but it didn't even feel creative here. The world of Narnia felt so magical at the beginning of this series but by the end I am no longer feeling the magic. There was also again a lot of racism and sexism in this one.
I didn't have very high expectations for this book after the last ones, but the plot in this one was even less interesting and the ending to this series was kind of ridiculous tbh. I don't think I was invested at any point in this story, which is really not what you want from the ending of a series. Also, Susan deserved so much better than this???
