Hawkeye: Omnibus by Jesse Hamm, Steve Lieber, Annie Wu, David Aja, Javier Pulido, Alan Davis, Francesco Francavilla, Matt Fraction
5.0
This was the best TV show I've seen this year. Wait... This is a comic book. (sorry that was corny) Na but for real this was amazing and felt like a show I wish existed. It gave me "Archer" by FX vibes. I know Hawkeye will be getting his own show soon and if its even HALF as good as this book, I'll take it. I loved Fractions writing in this. He wrote some hilarious, touching, action packed, just all around great comics! We get a look into Hawkeye's life when he's not being an avenger and also get some adventures with Kate Bishop Hawkeye. Now pattern this with David Aja's artwork and WOW!!! There are issues with Aja's artwork that I just kept flipping through because of how much I loved the artwork. He has some of the most unique comic layouts and paneling I've ever seen. There are some comic issues in this run that are just some of the best single issues I've ever read. Along with David's artwork, all the other fill in artist were matching the same kinda of cartoon vibe of the run. It matched Aja's vibe and energy and made the book very enjoyable. I find it very hard for this to be topped but so far this is my fav read of the year.
