The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

5.0

I'm not normally a fan of classics since I find them too wordy, repetitive and long. However, I had an audiobook version of The Count of Monte Cristo, in which the narrator made the novel very engaging, dramatic and fun. He really made the book come alive. Whether, reading the book was a paperback, or audiobook, I enjoyed the mystery and revenge that Dumas was trying to build and slowly reveal. I dislike mystery novels that show who did what in the first twenty pages of its three hundred plus pages. Some parts were repetitive of what was going to happen for Edmund Dante's/Count of Monte Cristo to implement his over-reaching revenge.
