Her Royal Highness by Rachel Hawkins

Okay, so I'm not stupid I wasn't expecting a Pride and Prejudice quality romance novel, but this was still a bit dumber than I expected.
I don't want to sound rude, but my God, I could feel that this was written by an American woman. Not like it's a bad thing, but you know how some Americans have this "idea" about living in Europe and Europeans, which is like so far from the truth. I got that from this book.
So the plot was a bit dumb, okay I wasn't reading for that anyway. I've read it for the lesbian princess, the enemies to lovers trope, and because THEY WERE ROOMMATES! Well, Flora was great, I loved her, but Millie was so boring... Her whole personality was just being American and liking rocks. Don't tell me this was enough for princess Flora to fell in love with her. And I don't know the romance was just a little bit flat. They just kinda unlocked each other tragic backstories on a hiking trip and they were already in love? I don't know.
I really liked Saks though (was this her name?), I thought she was going to be the "mean girl", but she was actually a good and supportive friend. Although she was a bit stereotypical but who wasn't in this book.
Also, I listened to the audiobook and oh my God it was a whole different level of fun. I think it was read by Karissa Vacke, who did just in one book southern American, British, and Scottish accents too. Sometimes also pretending to be an old Scottish guy. I seriously laughed my butt off.
