Lay Your Head On My Pillow
by Tanzania Glover
I've had my eyes on the 90s Kind of Love series for a minute. This year I'm super focused on making sure that I use my Kindle Unlimited service to the fullest extent. Lay Your Head On My Pillow was one of the first books I had queued up on my KU check outs. This specific book in series focuses on counselor Toni and artist Arlan who have a brief encounter at the school while Arlan is working a mural. After some interesting conversations, the two agree to have dinner for Toni's birthday. This was a cute and quick read. I was really surprised when I learned the story behind Arlan's attraction to Toni, but it worked in the overall context of the story. I would have rated this higher; however, it took me a while to adjust to Glover's writing style. There were some parts of the story that were written awkwardly and didn't flow very well. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the story and I'm looking forward to checking out more of Glover's works.
