This is the third book of the "Harry Hole series" and I really liked it.

The plot is full of suspense, with some interesting historical background, such as the Stalingrad battle, where a Norwegian soldier, Daniel, is killed.

In the mean time, Harry is investigating some neo-nazis activities. And then a former soldier is found with his throat cut.

So far, this is the best book I've read by this author.

It shroud be appointed out that this book won the Glass Key prize for the best Nordic crime novel when it was first published, and was subsequently voted Norway’s best crime novel.
