Restorations (The Sterlings, #4) By Nicole Dykes. (2020/09/25)
Rating 3/5 Stars
Disclaimer: I received an e-ARC from Wildfire Marketing Solutions and Nicole Dykes. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book in the continuation of Asher and Vivienne’s story (Restrictions book #2 of The Sterlings Series) and should not be read as a standalone.
This story starts off with Asher becoming Viv’s new roommate. Asher is still upset by Viv because she took away Baz and Baz is the only thing that he has in his life that makes him truly happy. Viv is still in a friends-with-benefits relationship with Sawyer and isn’t looking for something serious. When Asher and Viv start to spend more time together again Asher has to decide if he can really be the person that Viv needs to be or if he should just let her go. Essentially this is a Forced proximity/Second Chance romance.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this novel. I liked how we got to see the main characters come to terms with the fact that they are not the same people they were a year ago. I loved how Viv’s character evolved throughout the novel and how strong she really became.
I loved seeing how much everyone cared for Baz. I really liked how we got to see how all the characters mature through this series especially Penelope and Linc. I really liked how Sawyer and Viv didn't end on bad terms because I really liked his relationship with Baz.
Something that hindered my enjoyment of this novel was I felt that there was a lot of repetition and I didn’t find that necessary because it didn't add to the story. I also felt it took Asher too long to figure out what he wanted.
Overall, if you are looking for a quick series to binge read, I definitely recommend reading this series. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Once again thank you to Wildfire Marketing Solutions and Nicole Dykes.
