[rated in relation to other ya prn i've read, which admittedly isn't saying much. march the 3rd, 2013]

wicked lovely had an interesting premise but lacked depth. ink exchange lacked that kind of premise but somehow it managed to stir far more emotional reactions out of me than the first book. true, it fits well under the category of tearjerkers, but the characters feel fairly real, the writing is not bad, and let's face it - the dark court is far more interesting than summer, and irial and leslie's relationship is similarily more interesting than aislinn and keenan's. this is a book i have read and loved several times over, particularly upon misery rereads a couple of years back.
