Man, I hate stopping part way though. I'll usually keep going to at least find out what is happening or because I'm curious about the characters but I just... dont.

Tha romances feel so forced. Instant attraction and ex-lovers that obviously never let each other go and the tension couldn't even be described as palpable.

There were POVs from characters that were completely unnecessary, in my opinion. They seemed to exist only to force exposition on us that I would have been happy to figure out myself through a bit of "show don't tell" but apparantly I wasn't allowed to be given the chance since I only met the character twice before I learned everything there was to know about them...

There was so much repetition of certain things (yes, I get it, your sister was killed) and yet so little explanation into what the gods and god powers actually were. They 'writhe against bones and skin' but are they actually physically there? Is it just like a shadow of them? How so the powers even work? Sera just seemed to be able to do things that allowed her to be a thief, which seems a little wierd for a God.

It really sucks that I'm ranting like this because I really wanted to like this book because I was excited for the concept but it just fell so flat for me in so many ways. It's possible that I just managed to pick up a book that wasn't for me, but I needed to express this anyway.
