Not my favourite Katee Robert book. It felt like a book that should have been longer, just to give it more room to breathe, more emotional weight, more space for the plot and characters’ journey. Personally I would have liked it more if the heroine hadn’t essentially lusted after him at first sight, if he’d had to win her over… because he seemed like he would be so good at it!

I didn’t really like the forced birth control removal in the heat of the moment (she might not have stopped him, but I’m not comfortable with that without a conversation beforehand since she was so against it). And I’d never heard of a double-dicked monster before… “upper cock” and “lower cock” were two words put together that I’d never contemplated. There were things that made this a more palatable auction/deal with a demon for me (the dragon gets the opportunity to try to seduce his bride over 7 years and isn’t allowed to hurt her without suffering immense consequences), but sadly it wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be.
