This was the my first short story collection and i think it was definitely a good introduction into the genre. The stories are really different but are connected through topics like queerness, womanhood and sexuality as well as sexual trauma. I really liked how much literary imagery was used in the stories and how all of them had an at least somewhat eerie feeling to them. I did however think that "Especially Henious" really dragged on and I got bored after a while, but the other stories were really thrilling to read. My favourites were probably "The resident", "The Husband stitch" and "Difficult at parties".
