Another 5 ⭐ from J. Penner! Relatable, loveable fantasy characters from all species, backgrounds, and walks of life come together to make a lovely community that supports, respects, and uplifts each other. This book does a great job of portraying community and loving relationships while still showing the realities of overcoming the past, breaking down walls, and learning to trust after betrayal. It shows the complexities of familial relationships and feeling unaccepted. And it highlights prejudice and bias in a respectful manner while still creating a cozy fantasy book you can get lost in. I'd live in this book if I could!
