The Mother-in-Law by Kiersten Modglin

4.0

3.5 stars. This book kept me entertained despite some glaring plot holes. My main issue was how was the mother-in-law pretending to be Meredith and checking on the business every other week? Especially since she was getting dementia. Didn’t Loren find that odd to never see Meredith in 4 years. Not once. And could they sell the business if Meredith wasn’t there? They owned it together, right? That made no sense to me.

Also, there would have had to be a way to get the MIL out. It was Loren’s house solely. Once the MIL started to destroy it, that seems like it would have been enough. Or call adult services and report her mentally unstable. Sell it? That was kind of dumb.
