Hm. Mixed feelings. I felt, at first, that this was going to be a really strong book, but it flopped in the middle for me. Too referencial and while I appreciate his lack of decent apology or remorse was the point, Jacob's refusal to take responsibility for how he hurt Isaac was ... Hm. All I know is that if I got this letter in the mail, I would've skimmed it, scoffed, cried a little, brought it up in therapy, and then threw it away.
