Atomic Habits: An Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits and Break Bad Ones by James Clear
Did not finish book.
DNF’d - Page 99
I was diagnosed with ADHD this year and have been trying to find resources to help me cope positively. Habits have always been a struggle for me and of course this has been the one book everyone praises and mentions when talking about habit forming information.
I’ll be mad honest I was so bored. The author used so many comparisons to try and clarify every single point, and it just felt like meeting the word count for an essay. Every single point did not need a paragraph clarifying exactly what it meant. Maybe I was just on study youtube for too long in hs, maybe toxic productivity has just been leaked into my brain since I was in middle school. But the concepts mentioned were very common sense and I was just hoping I would find something that would work for me.
For someone that is more neurodivergent this might just be too straight forward. Again, I didn’t finish it so maybe it got better. For me though I probably won’t pick it up again.
