I liked the themes of the side plots in this - how our culture treats athletes, being a parent or a child (or maybe both at once), and how our mental health shows up in our physical world. The characters were believable and it helped to have a dual POV to see inside two character's heads. The romance started fast, but having the POVs helped me to understand intentions and where it stemmed from.

The male MC was maybe a little too perfect? Not sure he had a single flaw...one might have been nice. There were a few scenes of huge-dude-picks-up-tiny-female-like-she's-weightless that I could have done without. I'd like more room in the genre generally for women who are not petite, even when compared to a hulk of a man, but that's more a me thing than a critique of this specific book (there should still be room for tiny women too). Some spice, but not drawn out or overdone so if that isn't your thin0g (it's not mine), I think you can still enjoy this book.

I didn't think the audio narrator for Adam matched his book persona, but overall the audio is palatable and a good way to digest this book. It was a good one to listen to in small chunks when I had the time over a couple of weeks.
