Eh this was my second attempt at a Hades and Persephone retelling and I'm not sure if I haven't found a good one yet or it's not my thing.
I didn't read A Touch of Darkness and thought Hades POV would be the place to start since like reading men's POV in books.....not this one. Hades just didn't do for me he came off kind of childish or more accurately a horny teenager. I was seriously waiting for the "that's what she said joke" from all sexual thoughts Hades was having over every.little.thing.she.did. and it felt forced half the time. This just isn't how I picture Hades...
Persephone is also very annoying in this book. I just didn't vibe with it. Although I did LOVE Hecate she made me laugh and I love her. I also liked the narrator, he has done other books I've liked.
