I might have had incorrect expectations going into the book. This is a grumpy/sunshine book, and it was recommended as one that has good banter like Emily Henry’s Book Lovers. I didn’t find the banter to be like that.
I struggled with the character development for the main characters, especially the MMC. Some of his choices seemed questionable with his background/experiences. I did appreciate that the FMC was not the perfect sunshine character and that she had flaws.
The tension builds up between the FMC and MMC really well, however. I was rooting for them in the end!
