Compulsion by Meyer Levin

Interesting plot, interesting characters, interesting meanings, interesting almost anything. But with a serious flaw: it is too long. Long and boring, pages and pages proceeding very slowly until the next very welcomed twist. It was meaningless to report every discussion and every speech in full detail in a novel, even when inspired by a real fact. In half of the pages, just summarizing the essential, it would have been perfect and engaging.
