“I’m telling you all this because I want you to know that you’re the best person I’ve ever known, Sigrid Marta Bergman, and I’m the luckiest to call you my friend.”

Staring at her, lost in her, finally, I smile.

5 freaking stars because one, chloe liese deserves all the stars and beyond, two because ziggy bergman is the badassest strongest woman EVER and three because sebastian gauthier deserves to be real and he is so strong and caring and beautiful and deserves the whole world!
this is the 6 book in the bergman brothers series and we are following ziggy bergman, who wants to be heard and be treated the way she deserves, like a grown woman and badass soccer player and sebastian gauthier, a man who's been living a self-destructive life and needs to start acting better, also for his image as a hockey player but most importantly for himself! ziggy comes up with an idea for them to be fake friends, because her good girl innocent image will help him and his bad boy grumpy image will help her!
seriously, their banter? ugh so freaking good, their development?? from strangers to fake friends to really close friends to lovers?? just beautiful and heartbreaking and breathtaking and wonderful and just out of this world amazing!! i relate to ziggy a little bit (tho after a scene between seb and viggo i literally see myself on viggo so much now damn!) and i admire how strong and how she finally got to be seen as a grown woman and a hell of a badass like she always was! then seb?? thinking he wasn't enough? thinking he was better off and hurting people closest to him? it was really sad but the way he truly showed how caring and how deeply he really cares and feels, just so beautiful!! you can really see their growth from faking a friendship to being there for each other to falling in love to finally be happy together, it was a long journey with some ups and downs but truly everything you wish for and more! SEBASTIAN GAUTHIER TRULY IS THE BEST MAN EVER, he literally took her to a bookstore after hours and said "buy anything you want it's on me!" I MEAN?? I NEED HIM IN MY LIFE!
ziggy also deserves a praise for being so patient and there for seb when he truly needed but he didn't know he needed her in his life! also for standing up for herself to her own family and made them see she was grown up and didn't need them to baby her! chloe liese writing is so good, everytime i read a bergman brothers book, it just reminds me how much these characters and their stories mean to me, they mean the world and they are my family for real! i love them with all my heart and beyond!!
also seeing ren and frankie a little bit more in this book?? and ren and seb's friendship??? aaa so happy!! now i really don't want this series to finish EVER but at the same time i need viggo's book now literally RIGHT NOW! i totally recommend this whole series if you haven't read it! it's powerful, it's beautiful, it's heartbreaking but it will put your heart back to together, they truly feel like you're a part of the family, ugh so good! there's not enough good words to describe this book and this series itself!!

“Because I do love you, Ziggy, more than I ever believed I could love anything or anyone. Because if only you loved me for the rest of my existence, that would be more than enough—beyond my wildest dreams and hopes. I’m not fixed. I’m not perfect. But I do love you with all of my heart, Ziggy, with every broken part of it that I’m piecing back together. I hope…if you don’t now, one day, you can love me the way I love you, but if you don’t, if you can’t—”

“I know I’m goofy and kinda weepy and extremely attached to fictional characters, and I haven’t always thought there’d be someone who could want and cherish those oddball, sensitive corners of myself, but you do. You’ve shown me that, because that’s how you love—in showing —and if I get to spend however long I have, experiencing that love, showing you my love too, I’ll be the luckiest woman there is.”
