a little heads up (if you're like me and jump right over the edge when cliffhangers show up), the third instalment doesn't pick up right where the second one leaves us, we get taken back in time a little bit—and oh boy, how glad we are to have been given more time with damian and lani, i want to reread the whole thing again, from book 1 to book 3, with everything fresh in mind because they are so good and sweet,, i miss them already
i love love love how seamlessly written the bonds of these characters and their friendships are, the found family keeps persevering, and they're still strongly one of my favourites
THE ENDING WAS SO FFING CUUUUTE
i shall forever wait for the next journey 🥹🫶
