This family is one messed up bunch who has a lot of skeletons in their mansions. I wanted to read this book because it was similar to the movie Ready or not and I loved that premise, but it might sound similar, but it's really not. It is more fleshed out and has more backstory for every character. I loved it, and honestly, if you don't expect it to be exactly like that movie, you'll enjoy it more. That twist in the end I definitely didn't see coming and while it took me weeks to read half of the book(problem was me, not the book) I flew through the other half in one night.
Thriller with an interesting twist that is worth your time if you like books about authors and families that will do anything for their loved ones, I mean anything.
Also, there's a Krampus lurking in there somewhere and that was definitely disturbing to read about, not that other things weren't, but I didn't expect it to be here at all.
