The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

3.0

"They need you desperately. In some ways, you are the most important of the seven – like the control disk in the dragon's brain. Without you, the power of the others means nothing. They will never reach me, never stop me. And I will fully wake."

I'll be honest, I didn't like this book as much as the other Riordan books I've read. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but some parts of the book just felt so dragged out, hence the kinda low rating. I did very much enjoy the first 200-ish pages or so, and the ending. It's just the middle part that I had some problems with. It's not that nothing happened - because a lot did happen - but I just felt like everything that happened was kind of repetitive, I guess. I felt like some of their encounters on their quest were kind of unnecessary, and it bored me tbh.

Negative thoughts aside, I absolutely adored the new characters, especially Leo - who has become one of my favorite book characters ever! I'm very excited to learn more about the Roman camp and meet more of the Roman demigods.
