Really more of a 3.5. I appreciate the book’s message of being true to yourself and not mindlessly going along with what society expects of you. As strange as the rest of the book was, the ending still felt abrupt and kind of came out of left field for me. Be aware that there are some disturbing elements in the book, as other reviewers have referenced.
