Judging from the cover, I was worried this book was not going to be well-written. Thankfully, I was wrong. The author does switch back and forth between present and past tense in the Arizona and Oakland chapters, which is a personal pet peeve. But the characters’ dynamic is amazing. I don’t think I’ve read a second chance romance before, and I’m not sure I’d be excited to do so again. But Zach and Eugenio are amazing, and I really enjoyed reading about them.
