A sensitively written tableau which traces the psychological impact of war on the Sarajevans. The choices made by a sniper, a musician, a father still managing to survive with his family, and one who has sent his family away and moved in with his resentful sister, are depicted for their true significance in relation to their humanity. The characters in this little drama are thoughtful and struggle to be the best that they can be in the enforced hatred that has been imposed upon them, and are trying desperately to preserve their humanity, and the vestiges of the people that they were, so that they can rebuild the city into a place of community once more.
