Anne of the Island
by L.M. Montgomery
They just keep getting better. The wonderful thing about these books is that they're simple, yet elegant books about stories that could truly have been instead of vampire and werewolf stories (or stories of dystopia, which are depressing). Not that I don't enjoy those stories but I'm going through a phase of wanting to read books with somewhat real happenings that don't necessarily make you want to bawl your eyes out. And this book left a smile on my face at the end.
