Time for my regularly scheduled praise of Becky Chambers. I’m convinced she is the best sci fi author currently writing and this book was more evidence of that.

Science fiction is said to be a reflection of society, and this book is definitely that. I don’t care if the metaphors are extremely heavy handed, it’s so well done. I get to go through a huge range of emotions, meet fun aliens, cry a little, and then feel like I can reflect on the issues presented in a real life lens.

It is bittersweet that this is the last of the wayfarers series. It’s meant a lot to me. But I’m excited to see what comes next.
