My Week With Marilyn by Colin Clark

3.0

I watched the movie first...and Marilyn Monroe, to me, seemed like a spoiled, frustrated girl, having trouble with lines and not bothering to arrive to work on time. Then I read the book, and things became a little clearer as to why Marilyn acted the way she did. She didn't seem as spoiled anymore- just very, very helpless and maybe a little bit confused as people all around her seemed to want to control her.

The more I read of Colin Clark's work, the more I liked it. Some scenes seemed to be lifted straight off of the page and into the movie.
