The House on the Strand by Daphne du Maurier

3.0

I had no idea that Daphne du Maurier had written about time travel. However, 1969 was a good year for this kind of forays into the past - and long after H. G. Wells's "The Time Machine" or "The Chronic Argonauts," some of Asimov's books, or Hans Christian Andersen's Galoshes :) But, more important, in my opinion, is that du Maurier is one of the very few female authors who, till that date (and even to this day), have written about time travel.
