I read this book with my book club.  For the most part, I enjoyed this book, though it was not what was advertised.  It's a dark coming of age story of a gay teen boy in a highly dysfunctional family in the 80s.

Please be aware of a fairly explicit rape scene involving an adult and a minor, and the fact that nearly every adult in this book is apparently a pedophile.
