I did enjoy this book and I can see why for a lot of people this should be a higher rating. The concept is interesting and different and unlike any contemporary romance I have read.
However I didnt find myself emotionally connected to the characters. I think at points this was due to the writing style which sometimes felt like events were being listed rather than a story being told. I kind of think this would have worked better as a 1st person narration so that we got some of Augusts internal monologue that would have showed more of her emotion.
