Indians on Vacation by Thomas King

4.0

This was a meandering tale of two people who have been together for so long they simultaneously compliment, mirror and lovingly antagonize each other. I like how the story weaves in and out of the present almost like we are getting a glimpse into Bird’s reminiscing. Bird seems lost and has found himself searching for purpose and a lasting impact at an older age. Mimi seems to be having the same issues but not as tumultuously as Bird. I quite enjoyed reading this. The characters are interesting and very likeable.
