A book about sexism in STEM (and the rest of the world) and other forms of prejudice in the 50s. Also there's a talking dog.

Misogyny from other women, much discussion of atheism.

A relationship of "perfect chemistry" except Calvin lies about a lot of things (lies of omission mostly).

Rejection of the myth you can do anything if you try hard enough. You need help and you need luck.

idk, this isn't really a review, just a list of things that happen. It was interesting to read.
